The specially designed electronic control units provide advanced safety features such as anti-collision sensors which over-ride the throttle switch when an obstruction is sensed ahead. In addition, these vehicles incorporate electric regenerative braking which comes in automatically when the throttle is lifted. When operating with the automatic track system, they will also stop at red traffic lights and slow down as they enter the pit lane.
The batteries are of a sealed cyclic lead acid 'gel' construction giving good results in this application and should allow as many as 1000 cycles before replacement is necessary. The capacity of the batteries will give a full days operation on a single overnight charge, so there is no need to swap batteries during the day.
All of this equipment is built to exacting standards to withstand the busiest of commercial uses and is guaranteed for a period of 12 months against all breakage's or failure except those caused by misuse or fair wear and tear.
